Side Effects
Dosage of up to 5 times the therapeutic dose have been given to farm animals without producing significant side effects. Under experimental conditions the toxic effect appears to be associated with anorexia and nausea. The drug is not teratogenic when tested using normal laboratory criteria

General : Animals being treated for neurocysticercosis should receive appropriate steroid and anticonvulsant therapy as required. Oral or intravenous corticosteroid should be considered to prevent cerebral hypertensive episodes during the first week of anticysticeral therapy.
Cysticerosis may, in rare cases, involve the retina. Before initiating therapy for neurocysticerosis, the animal should be examined for the presence of retinal lesions. If such lesions are visualized, the need for anticysticeral therapy should be weighed against the possibility of retinal damage caused by albendazole induced changes to the retinal lesions

Cattle & Calves must not be slaughtered within 10 days following last treatment and the milk should not be used before 3 days of last treatment

Do not administer to female cattle during first 45 days of pregnancy or for 45 days after removal of bulls. Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parastism

With other drug:
Albendazole has been shown to induce liver enzymes of the cytochrome P-150 system responsible for its own metabolism. Therefore, there is a theoretical risk of interaction with theophylline, anticonvulsants, anticoagulants, oral contraceptives and oral hypoglycaemics. Therefore, care should be exercised during the introduction of albendazole in animal receiving the above groups of compounds
Cimetidine and praziquantel have been reported to increase the plasma level of the albendazole active metabolite
