Composition:
Each ml contains:
Closantel........................................50 mg
Benzyl alcohol B.P. ......................2% v/v
Propylene Glycol B.P. .......................q.s.


Description:
• Closantel is an anthelmintic , used in veterinary medicine against internal parasites .
• It is a salicylanilide derivative
• It is active against different types and stages of development of liver fluke nematodes and arthropods
Activity:
• Uncoupling of oxidative phosphorylation processes has been demonstrated for the salicylanilides (closantel) and substituted phenols, which
are mainly fasciolicides.
• These compounds act as protonophores, allowing hydrogenions to leak through the inner mitochondrial membrane
Indications:
Treatment against following endo and ectoparasites in Cattle, Buffalo, Horse, Sheep,
Goats, Dog and other domestic animals:
Endoparasites : Mature and immature flukes, Haemonchus spp., Bunostomum, Oesophagostomum, Strongyloid spp., Ascarid spp. Ancylostoma caninum
Ectoparasites : Nasal bots, lice, ticks, flies


Dosage and Administration:
1 ml per 10-20 kg body weight by S/C only (5 mg/kg body weight) (or as directed by the Veterinarian)
Contraindications:
Not to be given to Lactating animals
Withdrawal Period:
For meat: 28 days
Storage:
Store below 30°C in a dry place, protect from direct sunlight
